Photos amongst the Barley Field

With the pandemic in full bloom, and restrictions meaning the closing of shops and stopping of weddings from taking place, suppliers could not just stand still and watch the months go by. The wedding industry has had to fight to survive and that’s exactly what a team of suppliers did; and so they organised a photo shoot promoting their incredible products.

We were joined by the lovely Heidi, from Glorious by Heidi, and Charlotte Palazzo Photography, who put together the team of suppliers for two different style shoots here at the venue.

The first one took place in our beautiful barley field; with the idea based on an intimate elopement. The models, Phoebe & James Mottershaw, looked incredible with makeup from Vicky Adamson, hair set perfectly by Jen Wildflower Hair Company, and styling by Helen from T.Ink.

Phoebe wore a stunning off the shoulder dress with lace floaty sleeves from Shikoba Bride, and a veil from Rebecca Anne Designs, the two really complimented each other and worked perfectly for the style of the shoot. And not forgetting of course a beautiful headpiece from Glorious by Heidi! James wore a pink suit with a white shirt with his hair swept back into a bun, the couple looked amazing together laughing amongst all of the barley!

As part of the shoot, the team had set up a picnic-style dinner for two featuring crockery from Whitehouse Events Crockery, flowers from Smokebush Floral, an elegant all-white cake from Grace Emily Cake, stationery by JellyPress and then an actual delicious buffet by Laura from Graze Cheshire.

Heidi said, “We chose the field because of it’s aspect. Charlotte and I could see at a glance that the sun would set over the hills in the distance at the foot of the field, and that if we got the right weather (and did we ever!) that would make for some absolutely glorious golden hour images.”

The second shoot took place in our woodland, another incredible location to catch some very quirky and different shots. Charlotte said: “the weather was utterly terrible, but I still feel we created something really lovely! There is something very magical about the Heaton House little woodland and even though it was sideways rain and blowing a gale it was so lovely to be in amongst the trees!”

This time Charlotte and Heidi teamed up with Bramble Lane venue styling, florals by Myrtle Fox and Maude, Urban Cakehouse (who provided some fortune cookies alongside the cakes!) and had a change of models whose bridalwear was carefully chosen by Otaduy at Rock The Frock in Cheshire, another amazing headpiece by Heidi and hair to match by Wildflower Hair Company.

Some couples choose to marry privately and then book a celebrant to host a ceremony on the day, so welcoming Toast Celebrant Sally was lovely to see how a ceremony could look out of the designated ceremony areas.

We absolutely love the pictures that Charlotte and Heidi have created and thank all of the suppliers involved for their amazing work.
