A few months ago, we got the sad news that a much-valued member of our team had been diagnosed with Leukaemia.
Thankfully, she’s now on the path to recovery, having received some excellent treatment from a nearby hospital, and some wonderful support from the staff there who cared for her so well.
We wanted to do something to give back, to thank those who have looked after our dear friend so well. So in true Heaton House Farm style, we organised a Knees Up charity event this November!
We pulled all the stops out for this event, recruiting our very own Olivia Hine – from Olivia Hine Music, to serenade us all with her incredible voice. She performed a host of great hits from all genres – including Duffy, Guns N Roses and Dolly Parton.
Olivia filled the dance floor, and then Disco Deb took over to play out the night and keep everyone on their feet.
For those who did want a little rest – a Selfie Mirror provided by Booteful Events was a great way to capture the moment- and have a great laugh too.
A Great Way To Thank The Hospital
With over 200 guests joining us, we hosted a raffle to raise even more funds for Haematology Wards 101 & 102 at The Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Our wonderful community donated a whole host of prizes for the raffle and auction, and in total, the Knees Up event raised £1557.40 for the hospital, and was a huge success.
