Smashing the Glass blog was started in June 2013, by award-winning designer Karen Cinnamon. Karen had originally run Cinnamon Creative, a digital and branding studio in London for 10 years before she started her own wedding planning adventure, but trouble struck when she couldn’t find any websites or blogs to help with her more modern Jewish wedding. Karen blogged her own wedding on Smashing the Glass, so please do have a read here:
Although based in London, Smashing the Glass has a wide reportage spanning many countries, and as Heaton House Farm is a regular host to Jewish weddings with couples from all over the world, we fit perfectly together.
Heaton House Farm is not the only award-winning company, in August 2015, Smashing the Glass was shortlisted for the second year in a row in the highly regarded Wedding Blog Awards and Karen was also delighted to be nominated in the ‘Jewish News’ forty most influential people under 40 in May 2015. You know you are in good company with award winning help!
Smashing the glass is a fantastic blog to start planning your own Jewish wedding. Not only does it have the obvious blog area, full of helpful and honest advice from not only Karen’s own experience, but the real wedding section is a really popular feature! In fact, a Jewish Wedding at Heaton House Farm has been featured!
If you are working on a budget, there are regular wedding competitions, so you might want to sign up to the newsletter for your chance to win!
Another favoured areas is the ‘smashing suppliers’ and we are proud to be featured in amongst some of the best Jewish suppliers in the UK! You can check out our listing on Smashing the Glass here:
Even if you are not Jewish, I really do suggest checking out this blog, just for its sheer beauty and gorgeous inspiration!
