Golden Glamour for Raychel & Sam!

The Perfect Venue!

Sam may not have felt love at first sight for Heaton House Farm, but as soon as he stepped through the barn doors it was undeniable that they had found their perfect venue! The beauty of Heaton House Farm is that you can feel like you are visiting a gorgeous working farm on arrival, but you are transported as you walk through each area through to the grand reveal of Steeles Barn!

Whilst visiting from their home in Dubai, they only had to visit two venues to find the one! And it seems this was a theme as it only took 2 days following Sam’s proposal for Raychel to take her Mum dress shopping in Dubai!

And just like that the wedding planning was go!

Raychel & Sam know glamour, after getting engaged on Christmas Day in Dubai at their favourite hotel, The Westin! They knew they wanted a white and gold theme and after some Pinterest and Instagram research, they found their inspiration, and wow, didn’t they do a good job. The venue looked AMAZING!

The glamourous gold decoration put together by Butterfly Events, completely transformed the barn along with some personal touches from Raychel & Sam.

Raychel loved how each room within the venue looked so different, they started with a rustic arrival in the Oak Barn, through to an ultra-glam ceremony under the Night Sky, onto the bright, beautiful, blossom tree filled wedding breakfast and finally partying in the rainbow lit bar. All the time surrounded by the unbeatable panoramic view from the lawn.

Raychel always knew what wedding dress she would wear, and after trying on a few styles, she was right and chose a beautiful ballgown from Celebrations Bridal House, perfectly complimented by some gorgeous Jimmy Choo sandals, aren’t they so special?!

Raychel was accompanied by her sequin adorned bridesmaids, wearing their elegant golden gowns from Sorrella Vita. They all looked absolutely fantastic!

On the other hand, whilst Sam knew what colour suit he wanted, actually getting him back to the UK for a fitting was difficult. In the end his final fitting was just a couple of days before the wedding. But this didn’t matter as the suit fit perfectly and he looked very handsome on the day!

Their wedding breakfast was a delicious 3 course meal from Barrett’s and they had some brilliant speeches during the occasion. Father of the Bride had everyone in tears with a beautiful speech, but the Best Man was on hand to get everyone laughing again by running a sweepstake around the room on how long his speech would last. With a reputation for having the gift of the gab, this got the whole wedding party involved and talking even if they had never met before! Then the winning guest received the glass of money, great fun for everyone!

The soundtrack to celebrations!

During the ceremony and wedding breakfast the guests were entertained by Liz Hendry on the piano. She played the traditional ‘Here Comes The Bride’ music as Raychel walked down the aisle and the couple walked back down the aisle to Bruno Mars ‘Marry You’. For a really personal note, they requested that Liz Hendry play ‘Africa’ by Toto for their entrance into their wedding breakfast, this song is very special to the couple and their family and so was a lovely touch.

During the evening reception the excellent Agent Smith entertained the guest, really bringing the party vibe!

So now the wedding is over, what do they remember most?

Raychel remembers the day fondly but specifically getting ready with her girls and her Mum in the morning. Her most memorable moment is seeing Sam’s reaction as he saw her walking down the aisle. It was so sweet!

Advice from the Bride: Enjoy all the planning. Don’t get stressed and remember the day is about you, not anybody else. Do whatever makes you happy not what other people want you to do!

Advice from the Groom: Stay calm. I was so nervous the morning of the wedding as I was worried about messing up the lines we had to repeat during the ceremony and then nervous about having to do a speech.

What a brilliant day. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Smith!
