This month brought us to that time of year once again where the wonderful Heath family reward all the staff at Heaton House Farm for their recent hard-work overseeing some incredible weddings and events.
(Yes we know, we’re all really lucky to have such amazing bosses!)
In true Heath style, our staff night out was a big surprise – and it wasn’t even where we expected it to be.
A mystery location
First up, we all met at Heaton House Farm – only to find that we were being whisked away to a mystery location.
We all got into a convoy and headed off into the Cheshire countryside – unaware of where Mick and Margaret were taking us.
But before long, we had arrived at the secret venue – Cloudside Shooting and Sporting Club.
We were going Clay Pigeon Shooting!
Ready, Set, PULL!
Aiming at the sky and firing at some fast-flying clay discs is not something that most of us have tried before. We were all very excited to give this a go – but definitely worried about our aim.
Of course, we had amazing instructors to help us – and the challenge of beating our fellow team mates to drive us.
We divided up into teams and got ready to battle it out. Each of us had 5 shots to try the different clay pigeon movements and hit our targets. We then got to have a shot at the bonus round as well – where TWO clays are released at the same time! Very hard, but very fun!
Amazing views, wonderful company
As well as looking up into the sky for clay discs, we also had time to take in the incredible views at Cloudside and gaze across the stunning Cheshire countryside.
In fact – we could even see Heaton House Farm in the distance, perched on top of one of the rolling green hills. From our brand new pamper room, you can just about see the clubhouse at Cloudside, which is where we were heading next.
Inside, Mick welcomed us all and thanked us for our recent work over the busy summer wedding period, before we were treated to a delicious meal.
Then there was one final surprise.
Lisa, one of our wonderful staff members is currently on maternity leave. But she took time out of her busy schedule being a new mum to surprise us all with a visit – and she even brought along her amazingly cute little girl Florence too.
It was the perfect end to another superb staff night out at Heaton House Farm.
