About the Heath family

Heaton House Farm Wedding Venue - About the Heath Family - Mick, Margaret & Sarah HeathFirstly, I’d just like to say hello and welcome to Heaton House Farm. We know how important choosing the right venue for your wedding is, but we’ll do everything we can to make that decision as easy as possible.

I’m Sarah Heath, the daughter of Mick and Margaret – the 6th generation of the Heath family. Heaton House has been in our family since the late 1800’s, and to this day, the 165 acres we have are still a working rural farm – with a few modern enhancements!

Heaton House was the original name of the farmhouse back in 1824 when it was a doctor’s surgery, and today we (along with Jack – the faithful family dog!) have transformed the barns into a stunning countryside wedding venue that we cannot wait to share with you!

We’ve been running community events for 30 years, but since 1999, after a request from one of our local guests, we opened up our doors for a barn wedding! And we haven’t looked back.

It’s been all hands on deck at times, juggling lambs and ceremony chairs, cows and PA systems, but we’ve worked hard to establish Heaton House Farm as an outstanding place to get married.

We’re still family owned and operated, with both my Dad Mick and my Mum Margaret playing an active role across the farm and in the set-up of weddings. But to ensure the day is as special as possible, our family has grown to include a team of over 50 passionate and dedicated members of staff, available seven days a week between 9am and 5pm.

Whatever you need, we are here to help. From the initial planning to on-the-day coordination, we’ll do whatever we can to make your dreams come true with a perfect wedding.
